Chiropractic Care
After a thorough assessment, a personalized plan is designed for each patient. Care-plans may include chiropractic adjustments, muscle and soft-tissue therapies, heat and ice therapies, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, rehabilitation exercises, and dietary or lifestyle advice. Regular Progress-Exams allow us to measure improvements and recognize any areas that may require more attention.
Two Types of Chiropractic Care
1) Wellness care: Chiropractic is the removal of nerve interference. A subluxation is a misalignment of the vertebrae, putting pressure on your spinal nerve roots. The spinal nerve roots carry vital information from your brain to every single gland, cell and organ in your body. Does this sound important? It is! Cutting off the nerve flow can and does lead to sickness and "dis-ease" within your body. It will, over time also lead to pain and discomfort. Don't wait for your spine to tell you there is a problem. Long before the symptom arrives, spinal decay is occurring.
Regular chiropractic adjustments keep the spine functioning properly. This removes interference from the spinal nerves, leading to improved health of all of the body’s systems. We will also try to help you to identify the causative stresses in your life and help motivate you to make the changes to remove them when possible (physical stresses, chemical stresses, and emotional stresses).
2) Physical Therapy/Injury Rehabilitation: Treatment plans provide recovery for conditions of the back and neck, as well as any upper or lower limb injuries. These can include WSIB injuries, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, or any other musculoskeletal crisis.
